MANKATO, Minn.-- The Bethany Lutheran softball team (1-3 overall) hosts Buena Vista in a doubleheader at the MSU Dome Saturday at 7 p.m. This marks the season opener for BV.

This marks the inaugural meeting between the programs.

Bethany Lutheran
Junior Eden Ambrose (Hugo, Minn.) is the leading hitter with her .600 batting average. Senior Haylee Sobrero (Paradise, Calif.) follows at .556 and junior Tara George (Cottonwood, Calif.) is at .300.

Sophomore Kassidy Cunningham ( Portage La Prairie, Manitoba) leads the pitching staff in the circle with her 6.17  ERA and has three strikeouts.

Career Records Watch
Sobrero is tied for eighth in triples (8). Sarah Presler is tied for third in stolen bases (18). Taylor Kottke, Kaylee Mork, Morgan Mashlan and Eden Ambrose are all tied for eighth with 14.

Zoe Kinakin is ninth in putouts (235).
