MANKATO, Minn.-- The Bethany Lutheran softball team (2-6 overall) hosts UW-River Falls in a doubleheader at the MSU Dome Saturday at 7 p.m. This marks the season opener for the Falcons.

The Series
UWRF owns the series lead at 2-1, though the Vikings won the most recent meeting last season.

Bethany Lutheran
Senior Haylee Sobrero (Paradise, Calif.) is the leading hitter with her .435 batting average. Sophomore Zoe Kinakin (Victoria, British Columbia) and junior Eden Ambrose (Hugo, Minn.) both follow at .333.

Sophomore Kassidy Cunningham (Portage La Prairie, Manitoba) leads the starting pitching staff with her 3.94 ERA and Kinakin has a team-best six strikeouts.

Career Records Watch
Sobrero is tied for eighth in triples (8). Sarah Presler is third in stolen bases (19). Taylor Kottke, Kaylee Mork, Morgan Mashlan and Eden Ambrose are all tied for eighth in stolen bases with 14.

Zoe Kinakin is eighth in putouts (261). Junior Alyssa Kostka (Redding, Calif.) is tied for third in saves (1).

The Falcons went 8-26 last season.
