MANKATO, Minn. – The Bethany Lutheran men's soccer team (8-4 overall, 8-0 UMAC) set three school records in the 12-1 win over Martin Luther (2-9, 1-7) Tuesday. The Vikings set new marks in goals (12) and points (32). The previous records were set against North Central on Oct. 23, 2019: goals (10) and points (31).
Junior Max Busch (Odenthal, Germany) had three goals and freshman Agostino Quadrio Curzio (Lecco, Italy) and junior Jamie Smith (Kingston, Jamaica) both had two assists.
Sophomore Andre Silva (Sao Paulo, Brazil) started the scoring frenzy just 28 seconds into the game, for his first collegiate goal. BLC led 4-0 at halftime.
