Box Score NEW ULM, Minn. –- Junior Rilee Hohbein (Holdingford, Minn.) had a career-high 18 kills in the 3-2 loss to Martin Luther Tuesday. This was Bethany's second five-set match of the season.
The Vikings won the first set 25-23, before the Knights claimed the next two 25-23 and 25-15. BLC won the fourth 25-22, to force a deciding set. The final frame remained close until Martin Luther opened a 11-8 lead.
Junior Alexis Morsching (Morristown, Minn.) joined Hohbein in double figures with 13 kills. Freshman Megan Gallagher (Jackson, Minn.) had a career-best 41 assists.
Classmate Esther Peeters (Maasbree Limburg, The Netherlands) had three service aces and 11 digs, and freshman Maddi Wendland (Arco, Minn.) tallied 18 digs.
BLC owned the team advantages in kills and service aces.
Bethany continues its three-game road trip Friday against UW-Superior at 7 p.m.
