MORRIS, Minn. – Five Bethany Lutheran players recorded double digit digs in the 3-1 loss to Minnesota Morris Friday night.
Freshman Maddi Wendland (Arco, Minn.) had 21, junior Alexis Morsching (Morristown, Minn.) and freshmen Megan Gallagher (Jackson, Minn.) and Esther Peeters (Maasbree Limburg, The Netherlands) all had 14, and senior Arissa Wilson (Eyota, Minn.) ended with 13.
Junior Rilee Hohbein (Holdingford, Minn.) had 17 kills, just one shy of her career mark. Morsching joined her in double figures with 16.
Gallagher had 42 assists and Peeters had two service aces.
The Cougars won the first two sets 25-20 and 25-13, before the Vikings won the third stanza 25-23. Minnesota Morris claimed the fourth 25-22 for the match win.
Bethany takes to the road for the final time this season when it travels to face Crown on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
