MANKATO, Minn. – Minnesota Morris (9-8 overall, 5-1 UMAC) swept Bethany Lutheran (3-15, 1-5) 3-0 Friday night. The Cougars won 26-24, 25-20, and 25-21.
Juniors Rilee Hohbein (Holdingford, Minn.) and Alexis Morsching (Morristown, Minn.) coled the Vikings with nine kills.
Freshman Esther Peeters (Maasbree Limburg, The Netherlands) had a career-high five service aces. Classmate Megan Gallagher (Jackson, Minn.) recorded 27 assists and added two aces and nine digs.
Freshman Maddi Wendland (Arco, Minn.) led the team with 14 digs and Morsching joined her in double digits with 10.
The Vikings owned the team advantage in service aces (11-8).
Bethany returns to the court tomorrow against Crown at 1 p.m.
