MANKATO, Minn. -- Bethany Lutheran (4-15, 2-5) got back to its winning ways in the 3-0 sweep over Crown (1-11, 0-7) Saturday. The Vikings won 27-25, 25-18, and 25-6.
Junior Alexis Morsching (Morristown, Minn.) and senior Kaylee Glomstad (Montevideo, Minn.) led the team in double digit kills with 13 and 12, respectively. Glomstad matched her career mark with her total.
Freshman Megan Gallagher (Jackson, Minn.) recorded 34 assists, just three shy of her career-high. Classmate Esther Peeters (Maasbree Limburg, The Netherlands) had 13 digs and senior Arissa Wilson (Eyota, Minn.) followed with 12. Â
BLC owned the team advantage in every category, and held the Storm to a -.011 team hitting percentage.
The first set was tied for the last tiem at 25 all. The Vikings used a kill from junior Rilee Hohbein (Holdingford, Minn.) and a service ace to claim that frame.
The Vikings jumped to a 9-2 lead in the second stanza and never looked. In the final set, freshman Maddy Hushka (Monticello, Minn.) served for 14-straight points for the 16-2 lead.
Bethany takes to the road next week for three matches. The first opponent is Martin Luther Tuesday at 7 p.m.
