ST. PAUL, Minn.—#24 Northwestern swept Bethany Lutheran Thursday evening. The Eagles won 25-7, 25-15, and 25-13.
The third set was tied at 10 until UNW scored the next four points to begin to build to its margin to reclaim the lead for good.
Four players led the Vikings in kills as junior Kaylee Glomstad (Montevideo, Minn.) sophomore Alexis Morsching (Morristown, Minn.), classmate Cheyenne Owens (Truman), and senior Bethany Karnopp (Albuquerque, NM) all had three kills.
Freshman Destiny Sybounheaun (Mountain Lake, Minn.) had seven assists and Owens had six as they ran the team's offense.
Sophomore Amia Broughten (Waseca, Minn.) led the team with eight digs and Owens followed with seven.
