MANKATO, Minn. – Minnesota Morris (4-2 overall, 4-1 UMAC) defeated Bethany Lutheran (1-3, 1-3) 2-0 Monday night.
The game was scoreless through the first half, and the Cougars held the advantage in shots (12-7).
Minnesota Morris scored its first goal on a penalty kick at 59:09, and the second score occurred at 67:41.
Freshman Brooke Wolanin (Littleton, Colo.) made a career-high 11 saves. Classmate Asia Jota (Pasadena, Calif.) led the team with five shots.
Bethany continues its three-game homestand Wednesday when it hosts North Central at 3:30 p.m.
