MANKATO, Minn.  – The Bethany Lutheran women's soccer team (3-4 overall, 3-4 UMAC) held off Crown (2-6, 2-6) 2-1 Friday to end the regular season.

Senior Maddie Perry (Anoka, Minn.) put the Vikings on the board with her score at 22:21. Freshman Lexi Kaufman (Fairmont, Minn.) connected on a pass from Perry for her first score as a Viking at 43:43.

This remained the score until a late goal by the Storm at 78:29 ended the shutout. BLC's defense was able to hold off a further rally to earn the win.

The Vikings owned the advantage in shots (22-10) and the corner kicks were even at one.

Bethany returns to competition Wednesday, May 5 in the UMAC Tournament. Opponent and game time will be determined by tomorrow's remaining league games.
