MANKATO, Minn. – In just his third season, junior Max Busch (Odenthal, Germany) became the career leader in yet another category in the 8-1 win over North Central.
With his penalty kick just 10: 13 into the contest, he became Bethany Lutheran's career leader with six to date. He moved past the five set by Samuel Duran (2016-19).
The win moved the Vikings' win streak to three as they are now 4-4 overall and 4-0 in UMAC games.
Freshman Ben Klausen (Norway) netted his first collegiate goal at 6:14, and then helped BLC double the margin a minute and a half later as he connected on a pass from Busch.
After Busch's PK, Bethany scored three more to lead 6-0 at halftime, which included the first collegiate tally from freshman Gianluca Trastulli (Rome, Italy).
The Rams ended the shutout at 67:45, but were unable to compile a further rally.
