The Polars came out strong in set one, holding a 6-5 lead in the early going. Bethany would respond though, taking 13 of the next 16 thanks to a barrage of kills to hold an 18-9 advantage. The Vikings continued to push their momentum, as they went on to win the first set 25-13.

In the second set, Bethany was the team to push the advantage early as they worked their way to a 10-6 lead. Crown would respond, cutting the deficit to 15-14 before the Vikings re-extended their lead to 22-17. After the Polars scored three straight points to trim the margin back to two, they would record three straight errors to give Bethany the 25-20 set win.

The third set played just as close as the first two in the early going and even deep into the set, but with Bethany leading 18-17 a 6-0 run thanks to five kills would put them at match point. The Polars would score three late before a Rilee Hohbein kill ended the match.

Lex Morsching had a strong match for the Vikings, notching 13 kills and just one error on her way to hitting at a clip of .353. Hohbein played well at the net also, totaling 10 kills and three errors while hitting .333. Esther Peeters dished out 18 assists in the match, while Morsching, Peeters, Maddi Wendland, and Callista Weber all had at least six digs.

Bethany is back in action tomorrow when they host Minnesota-Morris at 1 p.m.
