NORTH MANKATO, Minn.—The Bethany Lutheran softball team (26-13 overall, 16-4 UMAC) split its games Friday at the second weekend of the UMAC Crossover Tournament.
The Vikings defeated Martin Luther 14-0 in five innings and fell 4-3 in the nightcap to Northland.
Many records were set on the day:
-With the win over MLC, BLC has won the most UMAC games in a single season.
-The Vikings set new season marks in: hits, runs, RBIs.
-Senior Eden Ambrose (Hugo, Minn.) has started 157 games to surpass the 156 set by Gena Chester from 2011-14.
-Freshman Kaija Mork (Sioux Falls, SD) continues to add her name to the record book as she set the season record in hits. The old record of 53 was set by Chester in 2013 and Susan Hegstrom in 2010.
Bethany will conclude the regular season tomorrow against UW-Superior. First pitch is tentatively scheduled for 12 p.m.
