Women's Soccer Blanks Minnesota Morris

MANKATO, Minn. - The Bethany Lutheran women's soccer team Tuesday night hosted Minnesota Morris and won by a score of 4-0. With the win the Vikings move to 5-5-1 overall and 5-1-0 in the UMAC while the Cougars fall to 1-8-1- overall and 1-4-1 in the conference.

Bethany got the scoring started in this one, as Reese Moorad would take a through ball from Elena Luján Rubio in the 12th minute and pushed it past the UMM keeper for the 1-0 lead.

Moorad would then score again in the 25th minute, as Mia Johnson would find her open in front of the net for the 2-0 advantage.

Things would head to the half at 2-0 and then early in the second things would stay scoreless until the 58th minute.

Johnson would net her first goal of the contest after making a few moves to evade the keeper for her first goal, before scoring less than a minute later on a header thanks to a Lujan Rubio pass.

Arayah Baker got the clean sheet win in net for the Vikings, making three saves.

Bethany will next be in action on Saturday when they host North Central for a 3:30 p.m. contest.
