SUPERIOR, Wis. - The Bethany Lutheran women's track and field team Saturday afternoon was able to climb into a tie for second place at the UMAC Championships, their third consecutive second place finish at the Championships. The Vikings scored 112 total points to tie with Northwestern, while UW-Superior won the event with 149.
Stephanie Witbrod once again stole the show at the event with four total first place finishes for 58 total points.
"Our athletes really outdid themselves this weekend and did as much as they could to help the team get where they did," said Head Coach Michael Dunn. "The whole year was about trying to hit our stride at the right time and our athletes were able to step up and do that. Really proud of both of our groups and now we will see what Aaron [Stewart], Cassidy [Gibson], and Stephanie [Witbrod] can do next week as they try to qualify for nationals."
