DECORAH, Iowa - The Bethany Lutheran women's track and field team opened outdoor competition at Luther at the Norse Invite Saturday afternoon and finished in eighth place.
Stephanie Witbrod competed separate from the rest of the team, as she traveled to the University of South Dakota to compete in the Heptathalon where she took third place in a field comprised of predominantly Division II schools. Witbrod finished first in a pair of the eight events, taking first in the shot put with a mark of 11.85m while her long jump of 5.60m was also good for first and also set a new school record.
