Witbrod Earns Top Scoring Athlete of Meet as Vikings Take Third at UMAC Championships

MORRIS, Minn. - The Bethany Lutheran women's track and field team competed in Day Two of the UMAC Outdoor Championships on Saturday afternoon and came away with a third place team finish. They scored 122 points, trailing on Martin Luthera and Wisconsin-Superior, with the Yellowjackets winning the meet with a score of 183. 

Stephanie Witbrod earned top scoring athlete of the meet on the women's side, as she won three more events and set a new school record in the shot put. Her shot put toss of 13.47m put her in 24th place nationally and is just outside of the qualifying marks for the NCAA Championships, while her triple jump of 11.57 is a new UMAC meet record.
