ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn. - Reese Moorad's four-goal game propelled Bethany women's soccer to a dominant 9-1 win at Crown on Saturday. The Vikings improve to 5-5-2 overall and 5-1-1 in the UMAC.
Roxy Rehberg, Mia Johnson, and Moorad each scored in the first 20 minutes of the game before the Polars ended the shutout in the 34th minutes and the Vikings held a 3-1 lead at halftime.
Bethany blew the game wide open in the second half as Moorad netted three more goals, setting a career-high and tying the single game program record of four goals. Elena Luján Rubio founded the back of the net twice and Grace Sundy scored the final goal of the game. Rehberg had a hat trick of assists.
Arayah Baker and Sara Lara Tabuena split time in goal once again. Baker had two saves in the first half and Tabuena had one in the second. The Vikings outshot the Polars 22-7 overall and 11-4 on goal.
Bethany next hosts Martin Luther at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
