MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Bethany volleyball earned a quick 3-0 win at North Central on Friday night, improving to 12-7 overall and 4-1 in the UMAC.
The Vikings led wire to wire in the opening set, starting with a 11-1 lead and went on to win 25-11. Bethany hit an efficient .316 and limited the Rams to -.174.
North Central gained its first lead in the second frame at 2-1 but it short-lived as the Vikings answered with an 8-2 run and claimed a 25-15 win.
The Rams won the first point of the third set but that was their final lead as Bethany secured the sweep with a 25-17 decision.
Lexiss Trygg and Lilly Mehrkens led the attack with seven kills apiece. Abby Distad distributed 19 assists and dug out a team-high nine attacks.
Bethany is back in action tomorrow afternoon at Northwestern.
