COLFAX, Wis. - The Bethany cross country teams finished their seasons on Saturday at the NCAA D3 North Region Championships. With over 400 competitors, the meet had an electric atmosphere.

 The men kicked things off at noon, where the five men were able to place 30th in team scoring. Andreas Guessregen ended his season with a time of 29:37.8 which placed him in 175th place. Guessregen's season best time this year ended up landing him the 7th fastest time in Bethany history. James Younge followed with a time of 31:21.8 placing 193rd. August Weinstein followed close behind in 194th with a time of 31:26.0. Tanner Rosenthal finished in 199th with a time of 32:44.4. Rounding out the roster, Ben Matzke ran a time of 35:35.9, landing in 209th place.Â

 The Viking women followed soon after the men, as Campbell Amundson and Taryn Zellmann represented Bethany. Amundson ran a time of 25:53.7 which placed her in 156th overall. Amundson's season best was good enough for the 5th fastest time in school history. Taryn Zellmann followed with a time of 29:33.3, matching Rosenthal on the men's team with a 199th place finish.

 The Vikings competed in seven meets overall this season, and saw many great improvements that give optimism for the future.Â

For many of the cross country athletes, the indoor track and field season awaits, with the Vikings' first meet of the year coming on December 7th at Minnesota State, Mankato.
