MANKATO, Minn. - Bethany volleyball closed out the regular season Saturday afternoon at home with a 3-0 win over North Central, completing the series sweep. The Vikings improve to 16-11 overall and finish 8-4 in the UMAC.Â
Sydney Carlson led the attack with eight kills and a .538 hitting percentage. She also added six digs and two aces. Abby Distad posted 21 assists, six digs, and three aces. Kylie Smidt led the defense with nine digs while adding four aces.Â
Bethany jumped out to an 11-3 lead in the first and cruised to a 25-12 victory. The Rams gained their first lead of the day with the opening point of the second, but 7-2 lead put Bethany back on top for good in a 25-15 win. The home squad then ran out to an 8-1 lead in the third and finished it off 25-12.Â
The Vikings open UMAC playoffs Wednesday night at UW-Superior.Â
