Scouting the Men
Bethany will be led at this year's championships by a few returners and an array of freshman. James Younge is one returner that aims to score the Vikings some points in the distance events as he currently ranks 12th in the 3000m and 13th in the mile. In his first season on the team, Ben Halvorson will be another athlete to watch, as the freshman currently ranks third in the conference in the triple jump, eighth in the long jump, and 13th in the 400m. Fellow first-years Matthew Koosman and Will Kaeserman will also aim to score, as each ranks in the top 10 in the 60m hurdles with Koosman also sitting top 20 in three other events (200m, 400m, high jump).

Scouting the Women
Coming off consecutive second place finishes at the past two UMAC Indoor Championships, the Vikings will once again aim for the top and it will begin with Stephanie Witbrod. The most accomplished athlete in Bethany Lutheran program history, Witbrod earned four individual champion honors at last year's event and currently ranks first in triple jump, shot put, and weight throw while she is fifth in long jump and 60m hurdles. She will be competing with teammate and freshman Samantha Kedsch in the two horizontal jumping events, as Kedsch currently ranks third in the UMAC in the long jump and fourth in the triple jump. Another freshman will also look to make an immediate impact, as Taryn Zellmann ranks eighth in both the 60m and 200m while also competing on a pair of relay teams that rank in the top three.
