Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 YANKTON, S.D. - The Bethany Lutheran men's and women's tennis teams traveled to Yankon, S.D. to take on Mount Marty University on Friday afternoon and the Viking men fell 6-0 while the women fell by a score of 7-0.

About the men's match: "We knew Mount Marty was strong throughout their lineup so we need to earn each and every point. As the match progressed even though the score does not justify the points being played out I was happy to see each individual player show a lot of growth and what stood out to me most about this team was how tough they competed throughout the whole match. Kyle Deyo stood out in particular during his singles match. I have never seen him play as well as he did today and even though he was losing he was smiling because he was playing his best tennis! I couldn't help but smile as well seeing him and the others enjoy to compete today."

About the women's match: "Going into the match we were a teammate short which affects the line up in singles and doubles! It is not easy to adapt so quickly while competing against a good team, but given the circumstances each and every player was eager to take on the challenge and competed at a high level. Everyone has been working hard during practice and I could see the improvement of each player across the team. One player that consistently stands out is Sailor Mohlenbrock, captain of the team, always striving to compete for every point no matter the score in the match. Sailor always makes her opponent earn each and every point."
