OWATONNA, Minn. - The Bethany Lutheran men's and women's tennis teams traveled to West Hills Indoor Courts in Owatonna on Sunday afternoon to take on Nebraska Wesleyan. The Viking men and women both fell by a tally of 7-0.

About the women: "The team as a whole does really well to compete throughout the match and against NWU we started off slow, but as players settled into their matches we began to find a rhythm as a team leading to each player grabbing a few games in the second sets. Unfortunately we found it just a little too late. Finding this rhythm at the beginning of matches puts us in a position to be successful from start to finish so we have our homework for this week's practices.

About the men: "The men always find a way to fight, but yesterday Ezra overcame one of the toughest battles on the court. Similar to all sports tennis is physical, but also mental. In singles it can be lonely and if you are having a bad day it can be really tough to battle back. He was beginning to lose confidence in the first set but after calming himself and focusing on his strengths he was able to regain his confidence and earn himself a game in the second set, and although he only won one game he was winning several more points."
