Sagedahl Earns First Team All-Conference to Highlight UMAC Awards

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Drew Sagedahl earned First Team All-Conference while Jax Madson earned Second Team and Dominik Bangu Honorable Mention as the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) announced its men's basketball awards on Tuesday. Winston Knox was named the Vikings honoree for the All-Sportsmanship Team.

Sagedahl has been having a career year as he led the UMAC in scoring by averaging 20.9 points per game on efficient splits from the field of .444/.388/.906. He also grabbed 6.6 rebounds per game which was tied for the fifth most in the conference while his 2.7 assists ranked sixth. The senior eclipsed 1,000 career points this season and is currently second all-time in program history in points and ranks first in career three point percentage and free throw percentage. His career free throw percentage of 89.4 currently ranks sixth of any active player with 300 attempts from the charity stripe throughout all of Division I, II, and III.

Madson, like Sagedahl, earns his third straight All-Conference nod in 2024-25 after averaging 17.0 points per game which ranked sixth in the conference. Another strong rebounding guard for Bethany, he averaged 6.2 boards per game which was good for eighth in the conference while his 63 made threes were the third most in the conference. Jax also surpassed 1,000 points on the season and during the week of 1/20-26, he earned D3hoops.com Team of the Week honors thanks in part to a career high 37 points against Martin Luther on 1/22/25.

Bangu earns his first All-Conference honor after a season that saw him average 12.6 points per game and 5.2 rebounds. Similar to his previously mentioned senior teammates, Bangu reached 1,000 career points this season and is nearing 1,200 for his career. He currently ranks eighth all-time in program history for three point percentage with a career mark of 38.9 and also added his second and third career double-double this season with his most recent coming in the UMAC Championship win over Northwestern.
