MORRIS, Minn. - The Bethany women's soccer team opened conference play Wednesday with a scoreless draw at UM-Morris. The Vikings move to 0-4-2 overall and 0-0-1 in the UMAC.
The Vikings had a number of scoring opportunities throughout the match, out-shooting the Cougars 10-5 in the first half and 18-12 overall, including an 11-5 advantage in shots on goal, but couldn't find the back of the net.
Bethany also had seven corner kick opportunities compared to just one for the home team. Arayah Baker earned the shutout in goal, making four saves.
The Vikings return home Saturday, continuing UMAC play against Northwestern at 4:30 p.m.
