MANKATO, Minn. - Bethany women's soccer beat Crown 3-1 Tuesday at Scheels Field to remain undefeated in the conference. The Vikings improve to 2-4-2 overall and 2-0-1 in the UMAC.
Elena Luján Rubio got the scoring started in the 13th minute with the help of Riley Ping and the score remained 1-0 after the first 45 minutes with shots even 3-3.
The Vikings took control in the second half, out-shooting the Polars 13-3 while adding two more goals. Roxy Rehberg scored what proved to be the game-winner in the 51st minute, assisted by Mia Johnson. Rehberg then tallied her second goal of the game in the 66th minute on a pass from Rubio.
The Polars ended the shutout in the 69th minute but Arayah Baker stopped the other two shots faced to earn the win. Bethany outshot Crown 16-6 overall and 9-3 on goal.
Bethany travels to North Central on Saturday afternoon.
