ST. PAUL, Minn. - Bethany's Emily Meyer (Jr., Swea City, Iowa) and Olivia Sanborn (Fy., Chippewa Falls, Wis.) were named UMAC Softball Pitcher and Player of the Week, respectively, the conference office announced Tuesday. 

Meyer pitched 21.1 innings in six games to close out Bethany's spring break trip to Clermont, Fla. She went 3-1 with two non decisions. Meyer registered 20 strikeouts and allowed five earned runs for an ERA of 1.64. Meyer has now won Pitcher of the Week honors four consecutive weeks to start the 2026 season. 

Sanborn collected 10 hits and batted .526 in the final six games of Bethany's spring break trip. The Vikings went 4-2 in those games as Sanborn increased her season batting average from .294 to .417. Sanborn also scored nine runs with two RBI, a triple, three walks, and seven stolen bases in eight attempts.
