Men's soccer takes Northland 2-0

Ashland, Wis. - The Bethany men's soccer team beat Northland College 2-0 on Saturday in chilly Ashland, Wisconsin. Despite the unpleasant weather and all the LumberJack fans that came out for the game, the Vikings didn’t let it phase them.

The first Vikings goal was scored in the seventh minute by senior Felipe Ortega (Worthington, Minn./Worthington) off of a header. The Vikings kept the shots coming outshooting the Lumberjacks 10-2 over the course of the game.

The second Bethany Lutheran goal came in the 59th minute by leading scorer CK Pock (Faribault, Minn./Faribault). His goal was assisted by Evans Tackie-Yarboi (West Jordan, Utah/Cooper Hills).

The Vikings will take on Martin Luther this Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at MLC.
