Men find progress in loss

Box Score

Mankato, Minn. – The BLC men lost 1-0 to the University of Minnesota Morris on Friday. The game was powered by good defense on both ends of the field.

Noah Heidorn (Fergus Falls, Minn. / Fergus Falls) played goalkeeper for the Vikings, only allowing 1 goal and having 6 saves.  The men looked much more fluid out there as a defensive unit and are working well in a new system put in effect by coach Rob Pipal.

The Vikes’ main focus this week was becoming a more solid and formidable unit defensively and to work on the kinks in the offensive side of the ball with quick counters and pinpoint passing.

This next week, on Tuesday, the men will take on St. Olaf in Northfield, Minn. Bethany’s men are now 1-4 in the UMAC and 3-6 overall.
