Men bounce back to shutout Jacks

Box Score MANKATO, Minn. - 24 hours after being shutout, the Bethany men's soccer team turned the tables holding Northland scoreless in a 4-0 UMAC victory Saturday at the BLC Soccer Field.

Benjamin Moldstad got Bethany on the board in the 17th minute as he laced a left-footed shot in upper left corner of the net past Lumberjacks' netminder Colton Schreyer.

Early in the second half, Michael Loguercio scored his third goal of the season off an assist from Jacob Behmer. Jacob Friendt got his first goal of the season in the 58th minute and Moldstad scored again in the 67th minute to give Bethany the comfortable lead and eventual win.

Ryan Bolte saved four shots to pick up the win in net for Bethany. The Vikings outshot Northland 19-6 and 14-4 with shots on goal.

Bethany (5-4, 4-2 in UMAC) stays at home for a non-conference matchup with Buena Vista Tuesday at 7 p.m.
