Box Score Bethany Shutout by Gustavus Adolphus in Men's Soccer
ST. PETER, Minn. – Bethany came into the game vs. Gustavus Adolphus with a record of 4-10-2, 3-4-1, hoping for a late season non-conference win on the road. The Gusties who compete in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) defeated the Vikings from Bethany by a final score of 7-0.
Matt Bitter (Bemidji, Minn.) faced 11 total shots from the Gustavus Adolphus offense as the Vikings goalkeeper. Bitter recorded four saves on the afternoon. The Bethany offense was shut down as the team only had two shots on goal, both from
Michael Loguercio (Tavernier, Fla./Coral Shores) in the loss to the Gusties.
Bethany will look to rebound in the three remaining conference games, as they are still in the running for a spot in the UMAC Postseason Tournament.
Three conference games remain on the schedule for the men's soccer team. On Wednesday, October 21 the Vikings will travel to Minn.-Morris to take on the Cougars starting at 3:15 p.m. The Bethany women's team will play before the men's game starting at 1 p.m.
