OWATONNA, Minn. - In their final matches before spring break, the Bethany men's tennis team played well in getting a pair of wins over Iowa schools Ripon College and Simpson College Saturday.

The key to both victories was the play of the doubles teams. The duos of Brent Heflin and Andrew Jelken (No. 1 doubles), Jacob Kubler and Carter Dahl (No. 2), and Jason Buechler and DJ Jackson (No. 3), all won their matches to aid in the team's overall victories.

Bethany 7, Ripon 2

Dahl and Buechler were also impressive in their singles matches winning both in straight sets. Dahl only lost three games in his matches while Buechler only dropped four games.

Bethany 6, Simpson 3

The Vikings are until March 21 when they have their first conference match of the season against North Central.
