LAKEVILLE, Minn. - The Bethany men's tennis team kicked off the UMAC portion of their schedule with an impressive 8-1 victory over North Central at the Lifetime Fitness Center in Lakeville.

The Vikings won all six of their singles matches with five of them coming on straight sets. At No. 3 singles, Brent Heflin only lost two games in winning his match and Carter Dahl only lost three games in his match at No. 4 singles. Andrew Jelkin, Troy Hoyord, and Jason Buechler all had good wins and Jacob Kubler needed a tight third set to win his match.

Bethany 8, North Central 1

Kubler and Dahl teamed for an easy 8-1 win at No. 2 doubles and DJ Jackson and Paul Riediger equaled that result in their match at No. 3 doubles.

Bethany is back in action next Saturday for a pair of matches against Midland Lutheran and North Central in Owatonna.
