Box Score Minn.-Morris Shuts out Men's Soccer
MANKATO, Minn. - On Tuesday afternoon Minn.-Morris arrived at the Bethany Soccer Field to take on the men's soccer team in a conference matchup starting at 2 p.m. The Cougars shut out the Vikings by a final score of 0-6.
The Bethany men's soccer team entered play looking for conference win number two on the season. The Vikings started the game with confidence and determination to get a victory in front of the home crowd. The Cougars got their scoring started in the 31
st minute of play followed by another goal two minutes later to lead 2-0 going into half.
The Vikings offense struggled to get scoring chances on the afternoon as they only attempted three totals shots in 90 minutes of play. Minn.-Morris ended the contest have taken 25 total shots, scoring on six of those shots.
The Vikings will look to bounce back on Saturday, October 3 when they welcome Northwestern to Bethany for a 2 p.m. kick off.
