The throwing crew continues to improve each week. Lindsey Stewart had a solid day in the discus (25.45) and shot put (9.05) followed by a new PR and school record in the hammer throw (36.88). Marissa Milless also had a huge PR in the hammer throw (25.13) improving by several meters from her previous best.
On the track, Kirsten Elyea had strong legs despite a vicious wind in the 4x800 and, shortly after that, the 4x400.Â
Nicolas Bruss is hitting his stride this outdoor season. The senior had a season best in the 110 High hurdles (16.26), a strong showing in the 400 hurdles, and a blazing 4x100 anchor leg.Â
Head Coach Michael Dunn shared these comments following the meet, "Hammer time was officially on today with both Lindsey and Marissa having huge personal records in the hammer throw, including a monster school record from Lindsey Stewart. The coaching staff is super happy for her after so much hard work and we look forward to seeing what else is to come this season from her." Dunn added, "The wind was around 20mph throughout the day, but our athletes still competed with a solid effort."
