Box Score CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – After playing two matches in Minneapolis yesterday, the men's tennis team played Loras College in Cedar Rapids on Sunday afternoon. The Vikings competed well at the doubles positions and select singles positions, but could not come up with any wins, losing to Loras 9-0.
Laine Larson played well at the number one singles position for the Vikings. He won a total of eight games in his match, but lost in two sets, 6-4, 6-4.
The one and two doubles teams played tough for the Vikings as well. Laine Larson and Dalton Werckman were able to get six games off their opponents, but fell 8-6. Carter Dahl and Dexter Jackson also played tough in doubles, winning six games, but they would lose too by a score of 8-6.
Up Next: The BLC men's tennis team looks ahead to next weekend when they will play Grand View (Iowa) and UW-Superior in non-conference action on Saturday, February 24 at Lifetime Fitness in Lakeville, Minn.
