Box Score SUPERIOR, Wis. – The Bethany Lutheran men's soccer team (14-7 overall) fell 2-1 to UW-Superior (16-6) Saturday in the UMAC Tournament Championship game.
The YellowJackets scored the game-winner 10 seconds into overtime as they placed their shot into the lower left corner which rolled past the keeper.
This was the second-straight year BLC had advanced to the tournament championship.
Junior Aidan Whitcomb (Otsego, Minn.) put the Vikings on the scoreboard 37 seconds into the contest as he headed the throw in from sophomore Cameron Brookfield (Cheshire, England) into the back of the net.
UW-Superior scored the equalizer at 19:26.
The score remained tied through the duration of the first half and all of the second half.
Bethany had a penalty kick attempt that was unsuccessful with 8:06 left in the second frame.

This was the second overtime game for the Vikings in the UMAC tournament in program history.
BLC owned the team advantage in shots (20-15), which included 12-6 in the second stanza alone, and corner kicks (4-2). The 'Jackets owned the shots on goal edge at 10-7.
Bethany ends the season 14-7 and have set multiple records. A full season recap will follow at a later date.
