ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Bethany Lutheran women's golf team opened their season at the UNW Invite and took fifth place with a score of 478 (+190). Northwestern won the event with a 338 (+50) while Crown took second with a 364 (+76).
Lydia Scmid had a solid first collegiate round with a score of 100 (+28) to finish 11th overall. Gianna Klarenbeek also had a solid first collegiate round with a 114 (+42) to finish 21st overall, while Olivia Krause finished 25th with a 124 (+52). Brianna Lienig closed out the Vikings scores on the day as she shot 140 (+68).
Bethany will be back in action this weekend as they travel to UW-Superior to play in a two day event on Saturday and Sunday.
