SUPERIOR, Wis. - Bethany men's soccer locked in the No. 2 seed for the UMAC postseason tournament following a 4-0 loss to UW-Superior on Friday. The Vikings finish the regular season 11-6-2 overall and 10-2-0 in the league.Â
The Yellowjackets wasted little time to gain all the momentum, scoring a trio of goals in the first four minutes of the game. The home team added the fourth a final goal in the 57th minute.Â
Bethany outshot Superior 16-11 overall but the home team had a 7-3 advantage on goal. Daniel Hughes made three saves in net for the Vikings.Â
The Vikings begin UMAC tourney play at 7 p.m. Wednesday against third-seeded Northwestern at Scheels Field. Bethany swept the regular season series against the Eagles, winning 4-1 on Sept. 20 and 4-0 on Oct. 18.Â
