MANKATO, Minn. - The 2025-26 Academic All-District Women's Volleyball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, were released Tuesday and four Bethany student-athletes were recognized for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. 

Bethany volleyball players earning the honor this year include Avery Carlson (So., Lucan), Abby Distad (So., Kasson), Maddie Meyer (Sr., Shakopee), and Kylie Smidt (Sr., Spring Valley). These outstanding student-athletes are nominated by their sports information director, must be at least a sophomore, and must have a minimum 3.50 GPA. They must also meet high athletic standards that include competing in at least 90 percent of the institution's matches played or start in at least 66 percent of the matches. Meyer earns the honor for the second consecutive season.
