KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The 2025 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Men's and Women's All-Region teams were released Tuesday and Bethany soccer is represented by Elena Luján Rubio (Sr., Alborache, Spain) and Jamie van Wijland (Jr., Hoorn, Netherlands). Both Luján Rubio and van Wijland were selected All-Region IX Fourth Team.
In 19 total games this season, Luján Rubio led the UMAC with 20 goals, which also ranked 11th in NCAA DIII this year. She led the league with 48 points, which ranked 13th in the country, and was second in the UMAC with eight assists. Luján Rubio tied the program record with 57 career goals and is the record holder with 142 career points. She earned All-UMAC honors all four seasons and was the first person in program history to be named UMAC Offensive Player of the Year. Luján Rubio is now a three-time All-Region honoree, becoming the first player in program history to do so. She earned Second Team in 2023 and Fourth Team in 2024.
van Wijland, a three-time UMAC Defensive Athlete of the Week honoree this season, helped limit opponents to 1.29 goals per game, which ranked second in the conference. Primarily playing center back, van Wijland tallied two goals and an assist for five points. van Wijland was recently named All-UMAC First Team.
