COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. - The Bethany men's soccer team lost 2-0 Sunday afternoon at Saint John's University, dropping to 0-3-0 overall.
Bethany held a 7-4 advantage in shots throughout the first half but was unable to find the back of the net and game was scoreless after the first 45 minutes.
Saint John's scored what proved to be the game-winner in the 76th minute and added an insurance goal four minutes later.
The Vikings out-shot the Johnnies 18-13 overall and 7-4 on goal. The match featured nine yellow cards - six of which were handed out to the Johnnies. Daniel Hughes made two saves in goal for the Vikings.
Bethany continues non-conference play against the MIAC on Tuesday afternoon at Bethel. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m.
