Box Score MANKATO, Minn. - After a 3-0 loss the previous night against Northwestern in their home opener, the Vikings were looking to take out some frustration on North Central University. Bethany did just that on Saturday, winning all three sets to pull their UMAC record to 2-2.

The second set was highlighted by 18 kills for the Vikings who were on the same page and earned a 25-13 win. In the third and final set, the Vikings momentum rolled over the Rams getting a 25-9 set win to seal the 3-0 match victory in front of members of the 2004 and 2005 Bethany volleyball UMAC championship squad who were honored with an unveiling of the their championship banners.

The Bethany attack was headed by junior Emily Franzen who had a game-high 20 assists. Also key in the victory was sophomore Miranda Krenske who had a team-high eight kills and added 12 assists.

The Vikings will look to gain a third UMAC win in their next volleyball match Friday at 7 p.m. in Duluth against St. Scholastica.
