Box Score Saints defeated Vikings Volleyball

DULUTH, Minn. – The Bethany volleyball team hit the road for a pair of matches this weekend against St. Scholastica and Wis.-Superior. The road trip started with a conference match up against the Saints from St. Scholastica on Saturday. The Vikings fell to the Saints 0-3 by scores of 15-25, 18-25, 14-25.

Kristen Mielke (New Germany, Minn./Mayer Lutheran) and
Alex Hansen (Austin, Minn.) finished the match with six kills apiece to lead all Vikings.
Alexandra Grejtak (New Ulm, Minn.) had 22 set assists on afternoon.

Defensively,
Jasmine Carlson (Windom, Minn.) had 12 digs while teammates
Anna Nelson (Cannon Falls, Minn.) and
Jessica Grimsley (Waconia, Minn./Mayer Lutheran) had nine and seven digs apiece.

St. Scholastica had 34 kills, 31 assists, and 45 digs during the game. Bethany finished the game with 26 kills, 25 assists, and 40 digs.

On Sunday, October 4 the volleyball team will take on Wis.-Superior in a non-conference matchup starting at 1 p.m.
