ST. PAUL, Minn.---After a competitive season of Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) men's tennis, the College of St. Scholastica won its 20th-consecutive Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) title to capture the No. 1 seed in the conference postseason tournament set to begin Friday.

The Saints completed a perfect 10-0 UMAC slate after defeating No. 2 University of Northwestern-St. Paul in the title-deciding match Saturday in St. Paul. Heading in to the match, the Eagles had a shot at a share of the title, but couldn't make it happen in 6-3 loss in a highly-competitive match.

The Eagles ended the season with a 8-2 conference record – with their two losses coming to just the Saints – to lock up the No. 2 seed. Bethany Lutheran College locked up the No. 3 seed with an 8-1 win over Martin Luther College Monday. The Vikings are 5-4 in conference play and will wrap up the season Tuesday against the Knights in New Ulm, Minnesota.

With the loss to Bethany Lutheran Monday, the Knights will be the No. 4 seed in the tournament. The Knights edged out North Central University for the final postseason spot despite a season split due to tiebreaking procedures. Both the Vikings and the Knights swept University of Minnesota Morris for key victories in securing postseason bids.

Both semifinal matches are slated to begin simultaneously following the women's matches Friday at approximately 8:30 p.m. at the University of Minnesota Baseline Tennis Center. No. 1 St. Scholastica and No. 4 Martin Luther will face off in semifinal one, while No. 2 Northwestern and No. 3 Bethany Lutheran will compete in semifinal two.

The winners of Friday's semifinals will compete for the postseason title in the UMAC championship Saturday at Baseline beginning at 1:30 p.m.

For both semifinal and championship matches, doubles will be played first. Singles matches cannot begin until all doubles matches have been completed.
