SUPERIOR, Wis.—The Bethany Lutheran men's cross country team placed fifth at the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Championships Saturday with 143 points. This marked the third-straight year BLC took fifth.
St. Scholastica was the team champion with its 19 points.
Sophomore Jakin Anderson (Belle Plaine, Minn.) was the top finisher for the Vikings as he took 22
nd place (28:42.30). His time ranks 29
th best time in program history.
"The men overall had a tough race, but as a group we learned a lot today and I believe this group has the tools to bounce back for the regional meet in two weeks," said head coach Michael Dunn. "Jakin had a solid race today and for having to go through a lot of aches and injuries this year, as well as cross training multiple times a week this kid really showed he had guts and put his best effort out there."
