NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Kayla Tobin and Jakin Anderson led the Bethany men's and women's cross country teams at the NCAA Regional on Saturday afternoon at St. Olaf College in Northfield. As a team, the Bethany women finished in 28th while the men brought three runners and did not have a team score.
Jakin Anderson paced the Viking men, finishing in 137th place with a time of 27:40.43. Trace Edmondson took home a 183rd place finish with a time of 29:20.13, while Josiah Hoppe ran a 30:29.13 to finish 195th.
On the women's side, Kayla Tobin finished in the top 100 at 93rd with a 24:32.84. Jordan Merwin also ran well, finishing in 141st with a 25:26.04, while Cianna Hoppe was right behind her with a 25:41.84 to take 155th. The fourth Viking to finish was Rachel Sovacool who came in 182nd at 26:30.04 while Chloe Kuhlman came in after her at 27:47.94 to take 207th. Naomi Anderson and Angela Zaccaria rounded out the Viking times with 27:51.74 and 28:39.84 to take 209th and 216th, respectively.
