ST. PAUL - Senior Jakin Anderson (Belle Plaine, Minn.) was named the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) men's cross country runner of the week, the conference office announced today.

Anderson and the Vikings competed at the Roy Griak Invitational on Saturday at the University of Minnesota. Running in difficult conditions at the Les Bolstad Golf Course, Anderson shaved five seconds off his time from last weeks event to run a 29:01.2 at the event to lead all UMAC competitors.

This is the first UMAC Weekly honor for the program since 2011.
