NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The Bethany Lutheran men's and women's cross country team traveled to Carleton College on Saturday afternoon to compete in the Carleton Running of the Cows meet.
The Viking women claimed 22nd place in the meet and had an exceptionally strong showing from freshmen
Brooklyn Hart who surpassed her previous 6k best time of 25:44.9 by nearly two minutes with a time of 23:59.7.
Angela Zaccaria was the next Bethany finisher in 252nd with a time of 28:34.1, while
Kayla Tobin was behind her in 257th with a time of 28:42.7. Rounding out the scoring for Bethany were
Taryn Zellmann and
Hannah Rethemeyer who crossed the finish line in times of 30:59.7 and 31:14.7, respectively.
On the men's side, the Vikings were led by the duo of
Josiah Hoppe and
James Younge, who finished in 268th and 285th place respectively with times of 31:06.0 and 31:45.8.
Benjamin Halvorson and
Joshua Hecksel rounding out the scores for the Vikings as they crossed the finish line in times of 37:24.5 and 40:45.4, respectively, to take 309th and 312th.

Bethany will now next be in action on October 19th when they head to UW-La Crosse for the Jim Drews/Tori Neubauer Invitational.
